Gold Electroplate is a thin layer of karat gold over the surface of a base metal piece.

Single Gold Fill is a thin layer of 10K Gold bonded to the front of a reinforcing metal core. 

Double Gold Fill is a thin layer of 10K gold bonded to both front and back of a reinforcing metal core. Double gold filled is 20% (10% face of pin/10% back of pin) 10K gold and 80% alloys.
